This research highlights the growing interest in ultra-high temperature (UHTC) in advanced technological applications. UHTCs are ultra-high temperature ceramics, which began to attract attention in the late 1950s, and their use is increasing as the need for materials with extraordinary properties and qualities increases. The use of borides as matrix material in these ceramics is quite common in applications of ultra-high temperature ceramics in the aerospace and aerospace industries. The leading group in the borides family is the diborides. Zirconium, titanium, and hafnium diborides are the most stable diborides at high temperatures. There are general usage areas such as the aerospace industry, nuclear industry, cutting tools, defense industry (bullet-proof materials), and heat-resistant coating materials, and their usage areas are increasing with the advancing technology. This review provides an overview of the applications of UHTCs reported in the literature to date and draws attention to their versatile application areas
