Abstract

This study was carried out in the town of Araban in Gaziantep province in the period of 2020-2021. Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus Thunb. Matsum & Nalkai)) was used as plant material in the experiment. In this study, the effects of 10 different fertilizers used as foliar fertilizer on plant growth and yield parameters in watermelon were investigated. Ten different foliar fertilizers were used in the study, and the experiment was carried out in 3 repetitions and according to a randomized plots trial plan. Foliar fertilizers were sprayed 4 times intermittently for 10 days, starting from the period of 4-5 true leaves. In the experiment, the fruits that reached the harvest maturity were harvested and brought to Araban Vocational School, and N, P, K, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn analyzes were made in the plant. In addition, the characteristics of yield and yield parameters were determined in fruits. A multiple comparison test was applied to the results obtained, and according to these results, the weight of the fertilizers used in the fruit (g/piece), Fresh Skin Weight (g), Fresh Core Weight (g), Bark Dry Matter amount (g), Dry Core Content (g) on Total Dry Matter Amount (g), % Dry Matter, Number of Seeds, 1000 Seed Weight, Fruit Length (cm), Fruit Diameter (cm) and Shell Thickness (mm), Total Yield (kg) and Marketable Yield (kg) The differences in the effects were found to be significant according to p<0.01. In chemical analysis, it was found to be significant on K, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn compared to p<0.01. In chemical parameters, no significant results were obtained in terms of N, P and Cu content. In addition, in the multiple comparison test, Crop Forte, Bereket, Multimicrofluid, Control-2, Maxfoli and Organim and fertilizers, respectively, reached higher yields at p<0.01 significance level compared tothe control.
